ATTENTION! Meta changes the rules of WhatsApp Business! And it can affect you!

Starting in January, many solutions will stop working. Suricata Cx will remain 100% enabled.

We want to share with you that Meta introduced a key update to the terms and conditions of the WhatsApp Business Solution that will directly impact many ISPs that today use bots or unofficial platforms to serve their customers via WhatsApp.

Meta announced that starting next month the use of the WhatsApp Business API by general-purpose AI providers or tools based on generative models that function as the primary bot within the channel will be prohibited.

This means that hundreds of unofficial solutions—including bots connected to uncontrolled ChatGPT-like models, homemade integrations, or non-approved platforms—will no longer be able to operate.

The official clause states it literally: “AI Providers […] are strictly prohibited from accessing or using the WhatsApp Business Solution when such technologies are the primary functionality being made available.”

What does this mean for your ISP? That many providers that today offer bots on WhatsApp will lose access to the official API.

And what is the risk for companies? It’s clear:

❌ Service interruption

❌ Loss of the primary support channel

❌ Operational and reputational risk

❌ Inability to send or receive messages from automated flows

The good news is that Suricata Cx will continue operating without restrictions, because Suricata is an authorized Meta partner and operates exclusively on the official WhatsApp Business API, complying with all current and future regulations.

Thanks to this, we can guarantee:

✅ Full continuity of your WhatsApp channel

✅ Bots and AI fully validated by Meta

✅ Automated support flows already integrated with your ERP

✅ Official outbound sends (WABA), with high delivery

✅ Fast migration from any sprevious solution

While other providers will be left out of the ecosystem, Suricata remains enabled and strengthened.

Why such an impact on the ISP sector? Because a significant portion of ISPs in Latin America adopted “plug & play” bots that work by connecting to LLMs without control, without auditing, and without complying with WhatsApp’s guidelines. So, with the new change, Meta will block those integrations.

Do you want to ensure the continuity of your WhatsApp before the deadline?

We are carrying out an express migration process for ISPs that need to regularize their WhatsApp operation before the end of the year. In that sense, we help you:

  • Review your current provider
  • Identify continuity risks
  • Migrate your operation without interrupting the service
  • Integrate with your ERP (ISPcube, Wisphub, Mikrowisp, Phantom, and more)

If your ISP uses an unofficial bot or a platform based on generative AI as the core of the service, this change will affect you.
